New Malaria Diagnostic Tests to be used in SEARCH
Samples from the Nankoma CHC in Eastern Uganda were collected over the past couple weeks and will be tested using an innovative new malaria diagnostic test that uses Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) to detect malaria parasite DNA in participants blood. The technique is particularly exciting as may as it is a a low cost alternative for resource-limited settings.
